Carl McCoy: Gone to Soon

Classic City Golf Association has lost a great addition to it organization. Carl McCoy has lost his battle with cancer on Sunday, June 28, 2015.  Funeral arrangements are being made and will be announced by the family. The president and members of CCGA are sending their prayers and condolences to the family. 


Zeke, Job Well Done

Zerbie “Zeke” Woods, Jr. was laid to rest today. Zeke was called home on June 15, 2015.  He leaves to cherish a loving and devoted wife: Lois Woods and two daughters. He served his country and received an Honorable Discharge from the United States Army. After serving his country he worked at Shaw Industries and then moved to VelStar Transportation where he retired. After retirement, he spent most of his time doing what he loved, playing golf and taking pictures. He became a member of Classic City Golf Association and was tournament chairman in 2014.

Zeke will be well missed not only by family, but throughout the community, the Interstate Golfers Association and Classic City Golf Association.

Zurbie Woods

Zurbie Woods has passed away on June 15, 2015 from his long battle with cancer. Zurbie was CCGA’s 2014 Tournament Chairman and Photographer.  Zurbie was a husband, father, golfer and a great friend.  Zurbie will be missed by CCGA and throughout the Interstate Golfers Association (IGA).
